Pluit Reservoir which located in Pluit Urban Village, Penjaringan Sub-District, North Jakarta, is strewn with water hyacinths and trashes. Ironically, related unit in charge on this matter did not know about this condition.

I don’t know. But I’ll check it later

“I don’t know. But I’ll check it later,” said Deputy Head of Jakarta Cleanliness Department, Isnawa Adji, when being confirmed on this matter via cell phone, Sunday (6/29).

Adji was surprised after hearing the news from reporters saying the water hyacinths and trashes have dirtied Pluit Reservoir. According to him, Jakarta Cleanliness Department deploys janitors to the location every day to clean up the reservoir.

Meanwhile, Head of Water Resources Section for Jakarta Public Works Department, Joko Susetyo, explained that for this year, the normalization of Pluit Reservoir is not yet programmed due to PT Intiland plans to allocate its CSR (corporate social responsibility) budget to normalize the reservoir.

“For this year, we have not programmed normalization yet,” he told.
