City Police Develop Traffic and Tourism Robots

With those robots, we want to educate the citizens about public security and order, such as good and right ways in traffic, as well as to inform tourism locations

The City Police disclosed that their engineers are currently developing robots to regulate the traffic and inform tourism locations to the public.

“We’re developing traffic and tourism robots. With those robots, we want to educate the citizens about public security and order, such as good and right ways in traffic, as well as to inform tourism locations,” stated City Police Chief Ins. Gen. Dwi Priyatno, Tuesday (7/1).

Traffic Jam Hours and Locations Change During Ramadan

“Those robots are still prototypes, we’re developing them further. Later, they will not only give information on tourism locations, but the public transports to get there as well,” added City Police Vital Objects Security Director Sr. Comr. Adi Cahyo.

According to Cahyo, the making of those robots would finish in two months before finally placed in strategic places, such as airport, bus terminals, and points with tourist potential.

“There are three languages to be used by those robots, namely Indonesian, English, and Mandarin, because those languages are more universal,” he told.
