Seribu Islands Fishermen Get Subsidized BBM Socialization

This is purposed to make a flat price for BBM, including in Seribu Islands

Seribu Islands Regency held socialization about subsidized fuel (BBM) for fishermen. As planned, the BBM price for fishermen would be the same with Jakarta. 

Seribu Islands Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Sub-dept. Head, Sutrisno mentioned that the subsidized BBM was one of Marine and Fisheries Ministry's programs with collaboration with PT. Pertamina.

"This is purposed to make a flat price for BBM, including in Seribu Islands. For example diesel fuel in Kelapa Island which is currently Rp 10 thousand per liter will be same as the main land (Jakarta) by Rp 5,150 per liter," he said, Monday (12/4).

He explained, the fuel was only used for fishermen boats, instead of boat taxi. Hopefully it could increase the income of the fishermen. 

"Nevertheless, they must have Fishermen BBM Card to get the fuel. It's planned to be realized in January 2018," he stated.
