Sandiaga Uno, Jakarta Deputy Governor expressed, community empowerment and entrepreneurship will be a reliable program to improve the welfare of citizens.

"We are targeting the poverty rate can reduce, at least to 2.7 percent," he stated, after he closed the Regional Working Meeting of Poverty Reduction Coordination Team (Rakerda TKPK), at City Hall, Wednesday (12/13).

He explained community empowerment via One District One Center of Entrepreneurship or OK OCE program would continue to be intensified in 44 sub-districts. Thus, the target of 40,000-50,000 new jobs in the first year can be achieved.

"This is more targeting the middle-lower class people. The increase of job opportunities and new business is expected to be directly proportional to the increase in welfare," he explained.

Through rakerda, he added, it is hoped to make ideas and innovations to alleviate poverty with a systematic pattern. There is an independent updating mechanism and a system that encourages all activities of the city to measure poverty reduction.

"This is an incredible target and it's our desire," he said.
