Anies Checks Channel on Jalan MT Haryono and DI Panjaitan

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan checks water channel around the Cawang Tunnel, Jalan MT Haryono, and Jalan DI Panjaitan, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. As reported earlier, heavy rain on Tuesday (12/12) had led to inundation in the tunnel and on Jalan DI Panjaitan.

Do not let the channel is closed project materials

Anies disclosed inundation in the tunnel has caused long traffic jam from Semanggi until Cawang area. It should be resolved.

Inundation in Jakarta Is Resolved Quickly

"Today we check and there are findings of damage to the water pump hole. As a result, when the volume of water is hight, it can't be flowed smoothly," he stated, in the field, Thursday (12/14). 

According to him, contractors working on projects around the site are also asked to pay attention to the channels. On Jalan DI Panjaitan, there is found a channel strewn by soil and cause siltation.

"Deepening and widening of the channel will be done soon. Do not let the channel is closed project materials," he exclaimed.

The contractor side has been asked and declared willing to clean or move the project materials in an effort to anticipate flood.

"For repairing and widening of the channel, contractor are committed to complete it up to two weeks," he stated
