Jakarta Acts Decisively on Discotheque Involved With Drugs

Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to act decisively on discotheque or nightclub which is proven to be involved in drugs circulation.

We stop its operational

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno said, decisive acts must be taken thus no space for other discotheques that violated the rules to operate.

"We stop its operational. We will not tolerate any activities that gives adverse effects to people," he stated at City Hall, Monday (12/18).

City will Be Act Strictly Towards Immoral Acts and Drugs

He wants officers to impose the most severe punishment if proven guilty.

"We don't want any tourism permit to be misused," he affirmed.

He added, Jakarta Provincial Government will evaluate and enhance monitoring to all entertainment places as the preventive effort.

"I want all to evaluate and be more careful," he said.

According to him, people need to be active to report any findings related to drugs circulation.

"Monitoring and awareness must be enhanced. I appreciate BNN, Police, and other officers who have worked optimally," he expressed.

For information, National Narcotics Agency (BNN) has raided a discotheque on Jalan Pangeran Tubagus Angke, West Jakarta which is allegedly is a place to produce and circulate liquid narcotics.
