This Year, Sandi Optimistic DKI's Economic Growth to Reach 6 Percent

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno is optimistic Jakarta's economic growth to reach 6 percent in 2018. This could be realized due to increase in employment growth based on entrepreneurship.

Based on recent data, economy condition in Jakarta has rebounded

He mentioned, employment growth is valid due to micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs (UMKM) activities or called grassroots economy. Besides, beginner entrepreneurial activity can also create an economic movement and open new employments.

"Based on recent data, economy condition in Jakarta has rebounded. Thus we are optimistic Jakarta economic growth to reach above 6 percent," he stated at City Hall, Monday (12/18).

He hopes employment growth index is also accompanied by reduction of poverty and unemployment numbers.

He added, he invites medium and large companies not hesitate to invest and support business and economy development in Jakarta. Moreover, within two months after his inauguration, Composite Stock Price Index in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IHSG BEI) has showed a very good performance.

"Investment, especially capital markets, sees a solid economic growth both Indonesia in general and specifically in Jakarta," he said.
