City Supports Cashless Payment System at Mayestik Market

City Provincial Government, supporting the efforts of digitizing micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) and non-cash payment system (cashless) in cooperation with one of national celuler operators at Mayestik Market, Kebayoran Baru.

Starting now we can use digital payment for transaction in the market

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan disclosed, besides facilitating payment, digitalization will further encourage the development of UMKM business.

Non-Cash Transaction to Prevent Corruption and Illegal Levies

"Starting now we can use digital payment for transaction in the market. We hope the UMKM can develop its business," he expressed, after a soft launching of Jakmikro and T-cash at Mayestik Market, Tuesday (12/19).

Anies uttered, the world economic nowadays trends have led to a cashless payment system. Therefore, it should be anticipated not only by big businessmen but also the actors of UMKM.

He hoped the system could improve the convenience of the people. Thus they would be more interested to visit and conduct transaction in the market.

"Every buyer can shop by mobile phone that has been registered. Traders will be able to manage their finance management well, as expenditure and income of money will be recorded automatically" he stated.
