ITF Sunter Construction Awaits Pergub Revision

Sunter Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF) preparation in North Jakarta has completed. But it still needs to wait for Governor Regulation (Pergub) No 50/2016 revision about construction and waste processing in City.
Revision is needed to extend construction and operation period
Jakarta Environment (LH) Dept.'s Integrated Waste Management Unit Head, Asep Kuswanto said, construction time is limited to 2 years in Pergub while this construction needs at least 3 years to finish. Thus construction time needs to be revised by extending it.
"Revision is needed to extend construction and operation periods," he affirmed, Wednesday (12/20).

"We haven't decide it with BPAD. It tends to be rented but its rental price is not cleared yet," he added.
Joint venture between Jakpro and Fortum will be managed in Pergub revision. Thus he plans to accelerate discussion process thus construction can be realized soon.
Meanwhile, PT. Jakpro's Business Development Division II Manager, Olivia Allan mentioned, technically there are no problem with construction plan. As well as operational cost since it will not be affected by electronic basic tariff set by central government.
"Electricity and tipping fee is uncertain. The main point is not to generate electricity, but to reduce waste in Jakarta," he said.
