Dishub Prepares Traffic Engineering in Tanah Abang

Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) has prepared traffic engineering due to arrangement in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. It will be started to be applied on Friday (12/22).

One side of Jalan Kebon Jati Raya will be closed and the other side will be used only for Transjakarta bus

Jakarta Dishub Head, Andri Yansyah said, traffic engineering is prepared for all transportation modes. It is hoped could help citizen in using public transportation.

"One side of Jalan Kebon Jati Raya will be closed and the other side will be used only for Transjakarta bus," he said at City Hall, Thursday (12/21).

According to him, PT. Transjakarta provides 10 shuttle buses labeled Tanah Abang Explorer. Each unit could accommodate 66 passengers.

Shuttle bus will go around Tanah Abang and pass six spots, such as Tanah Abang Station Bus Shelter, Pasar Blok G Bus Shelter, Pasar Blok C Bus Shelter, Auri Tanah Abang Bus Shelter, Pasar Blok E Bus Shelter, and Flyover Bus Shelter.

He mentioned, shuttle bus will help people or commuter line passengers from Tanah Abang to reach other transportation, such as small bus, public minivan, bajaj, and online motor taxi.

These are traffic engineering that will be applied:

Traffic from East (Jalan Fachrudin) and North (Jalan Cideng Timur) into Jalan Kebon Jati will be directed to Jalan KS Tubun Raya (Flyover)-Jalan KS Tubun 1 (PLN)-Jalan KS Tubun Raya-Jalan Kebon Jati.

Traffic from South (Jalan KS Tubun Raya) towards Jalan Jati Baru Raya will be diverted to Jalan Kebon Jati-Jalan KH Mas Mansyur and so on.

Public large bus route from East (Jalan Fachrudin) will go towards Jalan KS Tubun Raya (Flyover) - Jalan Brigjend Katamso - roundabout in front of Menara Peninsula Hotel - Jalan Brigjend Katamso - Jalan KS Tubun Raya-Jalan Kebon Jati - Jalan KH Mas Mansyur.

Public medium bus route from Jalan KH Mas Mansyur - Jalan Kebon Jati - Jalan Jembatan Tinggi - Jalan KS Tubun Raya - Jalan Kebon Jati - Jalan KH Mas Mansyur.

Public minivan mikrolet M08 ad M10 route is to turn around under Jatibaru Flyover (Jalan Jati Baru Raya). For public minivan mikrolet M09, M09A, and M11 should go through Jalan KS Tubun Raya - Jalan Kebon Jati - Jalan Jembatan Tinggi - Jalan KS Tubun Raya.

Jalan KS Tubun 1 (PLN) which previously was two-way street becomes one-way street from North to South (Jalan KS Tubun 1 - Jalan KS Tubun Raya) from 8 AM to 6 PM.

Left turn restriction for vehicles from East of Jalan KS Tubun Raya that will head towards Jalan KS Tubun 1 will be applied from 8 AM to 6 PM.

Jalan KS Tubun Raya U-turn (in front of Kebon Jeruk Dua Jakarta Pratama Tax Office) will be closed.
