We want very much the low-income people's basic rights in Jakarta are fulfilled, one of them is home ownership

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan said, program of Rp 0 down payment housing is the part of efforts to minimize economic disparities. With the program, low-income people (MBR) have the opportunity to have a home.

"We want very much the low-income people's basic rights in Jakarta are fulfilled, one of them is home ownership," he expressed, Thursday (1/18).

According to him, all this time, those who are able to access home ownership loans are good earners. As for the lower-income people are only able to access the credit of two-wheeled vehicles.

The case further widens the gap between low-income people and good income groups. It is because, the assets of the MBR group in the form of vehicles continue to experience depression, while the people who have good income who own the house's assets, the price continues to increase.

That is why, the program is hoped able to provide facilities in the form of a house. Thus they also have the opportunity to have assets that continue to appreciate.

"When they can have property in Jakarta, they will get prosperity. This simple formula can hopefully minimize inequality," he uttered.
