Hundreds of Locals Participate in Nutrition Seminar at Citra Permata RPTRA

Hundreds of residents got knowledge on nutrition and free health services at Citra Permata RPTRA, Rawa Bunga, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Saturday (1/27). Various activities were held to commemorate the 58th National Nutrition Day.

Rawabunga Urban Village Head, Agustina said, healthy gymnastics were participated by about 350 local people. There was also health service at Posyandu followed by 150 toddlers and 30 pregnant women.

The health services they get were blood sugar, gout, cholesterol, body fat and so on. In addition, there was also nutritional counseling followed by about 200 people.

"This free service is given in commemorating the 58th National Nutrition Day. It has involved 2 doctors and 50 nutritionists from some hospitals and puskesmas," she stated.

According to her, it was held by Union of Jakarta Nutritionists (Persagi). "The theme is together with our family keep the first 1,000 days of life. It's educating people, especially those with babies and toddlers," she expressed.

Elsa (29), one of locals admitted she positively welcomed the service. It is because locals could know the standard of nutritional intake for children who are still toddlers. "So know how to provide nutritious food in accordance with the standard thus children are healthy," he stated.
