E. Jakarta LH Sub-dept. will Build Central Waste Bank

East Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-dept. plans to build central waste bank at Environment Dept. Dormitory, RW 01, Pondok Bambu, Duren Sawit. Private bank will be involved on its construction and operational.

Currently we are still planning for its design. We cooperate with private bank

East Jakarta LH Sub-dept.'s Cleaning and B3 Waste Treatment Section Head, Wahyudi Rudianto said, central waste bank will be built as an effort to suppress transported waste volume to Bantar Gebang TPST, Bekasi, West Java. Besides it will also be functioned to enhance residents welfare.

"We will build central waste bank in Pondok Bambu. Currently we are still planning for its design. We cooperate with private bank," he mentioned, Monday (1/29).

30 Waste Banks in W. Jakarta Still Unregistered in Electronic System

According to him, local residents will become central waste bank agents. They can submit their unused goods that can be resold to other people.

"We have prepared 600 square meters land for its building. That land is Jakarta Government asset," he added.

Cashless transaction will be applied for all transactions in central waste bank since it is cooperated with banking side which is ready to support and design the system transaction.
