Sports Festival Program in North Jakarta Socialized

A year-program of sports festival began to be socialized to regional heads under North Jakarta Administration. It is hoped it could strengthen the silaturahmi (friendly gathering) of residents.

North Jakarta Administration and Welfare Assistant, Wawan Budi Rohman said the festival will feature five sports, namely Futsal, Volley Ball, Table Tennis, Chess and Badminton. It is scheduled be held gradually starting from RW to city level and ending at province.

"RW level will prepare representatives from each RT. Then it will be continued to levels of urban village, sub-district, city up to province," he stated, Moday (1/29).

As planned, Futsal will be contested at the end of this January-March. While badminton will be held from April-June, Volleyball in July-September, and Table Tennis and Chess in October-December.

He furthered each sport will be divided into three age categories, namely 7-12 year old (SD), 13-15 year (SMP) and 16-18 year (SMA).

Hopefully it could be the means of interaction and tighten the relationship between residents.

"It is held to strengthen our relationship between residents. The rules and technical matches will also be adjusted," he uttered.
