Inundation Anticipated in Tanah Abang and Johar Baru Sub-districts

Due to high rainfall, Tanah Abang Sub-district, Central Jakarta prepares portable pump to prevent inundation in the area. PPSU personnel are also deployed to anticipate it.

Pump in front of hospital is from hospital side. While on Jalan Administrasi Negara II, we use Gulkarmat's portable pump

Tanah Abang Sub-district Head, Dedi Arief Darsono informed, locations in front of Mintoharjo Hospital, Bendungan Hilir, and Jalan Administrasi Negara II are prone to inundation.

"Pump in front of hospital is owned by the hospital. While on Jalan Administrasi Negara II, we use Gulkarmat's portable pump," he mentioned, Monday (2/5).

Cipinang Melayu Settlements Inundated

He stated, PPSU personnel are deployed to clean water channel and ditches thus its capacity can be increased and water can flow to channel. 

Meanwhile, Johar Baru Sub-district Head, Abdul Choir said his side instructs PPSU personnel to be on guard on Jalan Percetakan Negara II since it is prone to inundation.

"Usually, inundation could reach 10 centimeters. But when the rain subsides, it will recede gradually," he mentioned.
