Inundation in three main roads occurred due to overflowed Ciliwung River
Central Jakarta Mayor, Mangara Pardede was accompanied by Central Jakarta SDA Sub-dept. Head, Dicky Suherlan, Kemayoran Sub-district Head, Herri Purnama and Sawah Besar Sub-district Head, Martua Sitorus to monitor Gunung Sahari Raya intersection.
He said, 8 mobile pumps were used to handle inundation on Jl. Industri, Jl. Samanhudi and underpass.
Council Wants Pumps Functioned Optimally"Inundation in three main roads occurred due to overflowed Ciliwung River. We use these eight pumps to balance the inundation. Because we can't suck the water if Ciliwung River is still overflowing," he explained, Tuesday (2/6).
He added, Ciliwung River had overflowed since Monday (2/6) at 7 PM and made 30 cm inundation. It receded at 11 PM, but this morning at 4 AM until afternoon, it increased again.
"I remind people who go through on that road to be patient or avoid Jl. Gunung Sahari intersection and Jl. Angkasa for a while," he informed.
