Anies Visits Flood Sites in Kampung Melayu & Cawang

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, visited the flood sites in Kebon Pala, Kampung Melayu Urban Village and Gg. Arus Urban Village, Cawang, East Jakarta, Tuesday (2/6).
Along with East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardana, Anies went to flood site in RW 04 Kebon Pala. By using boots, he walked through the puddles in the area.
Anies Ensures Flood Refugees Needs FulfilledHe and his group also reviewed another flood site in Gg. Flow, Cawang. He also took time to greet the local residents.
"Assalamualaikum, mothers how are you? I hope you guys are always healthy. Have you got aid from Jakarta Provincial Government," said Anies while to shaking hands with the locals.
He said, floods in Kampung Melayu and Cawang is already receding. Predictably, water level will continue to reduce, as water conditions in the Katulampa Sluice Gate and the sea has been normal.
"However this is not over. The better situation is when the locals have returned to occupy their house and have returned to the activity," he expressed.
According to him, the city government is currently concentrating the handling of flood victims at refugee camps. The aid will continue to be distributed in accordance with the needs of victims.
"To get the aid, just come to the refugee camps. There we help prepare. There are mats, blankets and tarpaulins," he told.
If the condition has been normal, he instructed the mayor and its ranks to directly hold communal work.
