East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. is going to install zebra cross as long as 1,329 meters long this year. It will be installed in front of schools, places of worship, RSUK and RSUD.

"We're currently awaiting the result of e-catalog," said Andreas Eman, Section Head of Traffic for East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept., Tuesday (2/13). 

According to him, it is made to create a sense of security and comfort for pedestrians. "It's expected the riders also respect the rights of pedestrians who will cross," he said.

Zebra cross that will be installed later, is the result of resident proposals through development planning forum (Musrenbang) in 2017 and 2018. Additionally, there are reports of residents submitted in various activities in the urban village and sub-district.
