Seribu Islands Environment Sub-dept. is transporting garbage from 11 residential islands, Seribu Islands.
Garbage transportation has been done since yesterday on Lancang Island, Pari Island and Tidung Island
According to Yusen Hardiman, Head of Seribu Islands Environment Sub-dept., garbage transportation has been ongoing since Wednesday (2/21). Garbage still piles up, as the radio frequency identification (RFID) is still being installed on the garbage carrier vessels.
"Garbage transportation has been done since yesterday on Lancang Island, Pari Island and Tidung Island. Today, we will transport garbage from Panggang Island," he stated, Thursday (2/22).
RFID will Be Installed on 13 Garbage Carrier VesselsIn the field, his side has sent five vessels that consisting of two big-sized vessels and three small-sized vessels. It is because in some islands, such as Tidung Island, the big one cannot lean on the dock.
"Our officer here is assisted by PPSU. It is targeted to be completed on the upcoming Tuesday," he uttered.
