‪Basuki Thanked Citizens for Smooth Presidential Election

Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama thanked all society elements, security forces, and related parties who have made the implementation of presidential election yesterday, Wednesday (7/9), run safely and successfully.

According to Basuki, all Jakartans were enthusiast in using their rights to vote in polling stations (TPS). This condition made the traffic quiet.

Meanwhile, City Police Chief Ins. Gen. Dwi Prayitno confirmed that the 2014 presidential election was running safe and conducive. Even so, the police had prevented the supporters of one of president candidates being drown in euphoria after knowing quick count results.

“The main thing is later on July 22 when General Election Commission (KPU) announces the result of ballots counting,” he asserted.
