Dewan Dukung Pemprov Tindak Tegas PKL Okupasi Trotoar

Council Supports City's Plan to Control PKL Along Sidewalk

Jakarta Provincial Government's plan that wants to crack down street vendors (PKL) along the sidewalk gets support from City DPRD.

Satpol PP action is good enough. Just doing data collection and give more loksem and lokbin facilitates to PKL

City DPRD's Commission A Chairman, Riano P. Ahmad said, PKL are still recklessly selling along the sidewalk, despite they have been relocated to temporary shelter (loksem) and coaching location (lokbin).

"To control them, we need data collection from related dept. PKL along sidewalk must be controlled strictly," he expressed, at City Council building, Monday (2/26).

He appreciates firm action of Satpol PP that has controlled PKL through Sidewalk Orderly Month (BTT). It needs to be applied to restore the function of the sidewalk that is integrated with the transport system.

"Satpol PP action is good enough. Just doing data collection and give more loksem and lokbin facilitates to PKL," he uttered.

Through data collection, related dept. can monitor and detect peddlers who return to the sidewalks after they are placed in loksem and lokbin.
