11,250 Ornamental Plants will Beautify Asian Games Venues in Pulomas

East Jakarta Forestry Sub-dept. prepares 11,250 ornamental plants to beautify Pulomas that will be used as one of Asian Games XVIII's venues this August. Ornamental plants will be planted in green spaces and gardens in the area.

We will plant 11,250 various ornamental plants. Until now, we have planted 1,000 plants

East Jakarta Forestry Sub-dept. Head, Romi Sidharta mentioned, 15 PHL personnel in his unit are deployed to arrange Asian Games venues in Pulomas, BMX bicycle rink and equestrian.

Pulomas Equestrian Project Has Touched 93 Percent

"We will plant 11,250 various ornamental plants. Until now, we have planted 1,000 plants," he informed, Wednesday (3/7).

According to him, planting will be focused on green space and garden that is still looks empty. Ornamental plants that will be planted are jasmine, willow-leaved justicia, yellow betel, philodendron, bougainvillea, yellow palm, red cordillera, and others.

"There is no budget for plant arranging. Because all plants are given by Forestry Dept.'s Urban Plants Development and Plant Nursery Unit. We only make the pattern and plant it. While we are using PHL service to do the planting," he  explained.

Besides those two venues, his side also arranges other green spaces, such as garden along Jalan Pulomas Raya, Jalan Pulomas Timur, south side of Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan and Jalan Raya Pemuda, Rawamangun.
