Jakarta KONI Insists on Improving Athlete's Performance

Jakarta Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) is committed to improving the performance of athletes.

We must prepare the facilities and infrastructures

One of the focus of attention is the effort to complete the facilities and infrastructures of 51 sports, thus coaching and training can run more optimal.

Jakarta KONI's Facility and Partnership Section III Vice Chairman, Didi Oerif Affandi expressed, athlete achievement is not obtained instantaneously. But, through continuous exercise routine.

"We must prepare the facilities and infrastructures thus the achievement of Jakarta athletes will continue to increase," he expressed, Sunday (3/11).

He explained they also continue to improve the synergy with Jakarta Provincial Government and private party.

"In future we want the pattern of Bapak Angkat to be intensified. We need to increase the public's awareness to the sports world," he explained.

He added one more important thing is to improve the ability of trainers through the certification program.

For the archery branch, he cited, has been done certification for 50 coaches from Jakarta.

"This coach certification is an important part of athlete coaching to achieve the best performance," he uttered, who also serves as Jakarta Indonesian Archery Association  (Perpani).

He continued Jakarta should be proud. Because, about 30 percent of national athletes are the best from Jakarta.

"Hopefully they were able to excel at the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang and 20th PON in Papua," he hoped.
