Disparbud Socializes Pergub Related to Tourism Business Implementation

Jakarta Tourism and Culture Dept. (Disparbud) socializes Pergub No. 18/2018 about Tourism Enterprise Implementation for tourism industry owners in Jakarta.

When a business violates regulation related to immoral acts or prostitution, gambling, and narcotics, then we will revoke its business permit without any warning letter

This Pergub mentioned that Tourism Business Permit (TDUP) can be revoked if any tourism industry is found out to be involved in drugs distribution, prostitution, immoral acts, or gambling.

Jakarta Disparbud Head, Tinia Budiati said, this Pergub has been socialized on last Tuesday (3/13). In previous rule, business owner who violates the rule is given warning letter (SP) 1, 2, and 3 before its permit is revoked.

"There is a significant change on rules. When a business violates regulation related to immoral acts or prostitution, gambling, and narcotics, then we will revoke its business permit without any warning letter," she stated, Wednesday (3/14).

According to her, this strict sanction is implemented since there are many residents complaints due to the rules. Her side doesn't want tourism industry in Jakarta leads to a negative thing.

Thus she wants all night entertainment business owners to follow the prevailing regulation. "Now, once we found it, then immediately its permit will be revoked," she affirmed.
