January to March 13, Total 967 Cars Towed in W. Jakarta

January to March 13, 2018 periods, West Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. (Sudinhub) netted 967 four-wheeled vehicles that illegally parking on sidewalk and roadside.

Current fine retribution is Rp 483.5 million

West Jakarta Sudinhub's Controlling Section Head, Hengky Sitorus said, towed vehicles will be fined Rp 500 thousand per day during safekeeping periods in shelter.

"Fine which is given to hundreds of car owners who have parked illegally on sidewalk and roadside will be submitted to regional income. Current fine retribution is Rp 483.5 million," he informed, Wednesday (3/14).

Illegal Parking Operations in Grogol Netted 57 Vehicles

Based on data of 2017, 4,821 four-wheeled vehicles netted with total retribution to regional income is Rp 2.41 billion

"Control against illegal parking vehicles on sidewalk and roadside is done intensively because it causes traffic jam and also take the pedestrian rights," he added.
