Sandi Participates Heritage Run in Kota Tua Area

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno along with hundreds of people in the capital are participating in the Heritage Run in Kota Tua area, Taman Sari, West Jakarta, Sunday (3/25).

Participants also enjoy the tour in Kota Tua area. Sport tourism becomes a theme that will be of interest to Jakarta residents in the future

The run event initiated by one of national media companies is participated by 5,000 participants divided in categories of 5 and 10 kilometers. It is also participated by 183 disabled people for two kilometers category.

His party is very appreciating the event, as it could collaborate run event with tourism.

"Participants also enjoy the tour in Kota Tua area. Sport tourism becomes a theme that will be of interest to Jakarta residents in the future," he expressed.

He is really enjoying the event in Kota Tua area that has many historic sites. If it is packaged properly, he continued, this event will increase tourist visits and move the economy of people.

"We want also open employment and UKM to grow with the number of tourist visits to Kota Tua area," he told.

Additionally, he hoped it could also increase the interest of Jakartans in the 2018 Asian Games.

"Through this event, we can push the spirit of the Asian Games. Hopefully it can be held regularly every year," he stated.
