Tender For Passenger Boat Targeted to Complete in May

Jakarta Transportation Dept.'s Water Transport and Ports Management Unit (UP APK) targets to complete tender for six passenger ships in 2018 this May. Currently this unit is still preparing the documents.

We targeted to announce the winner in early May then it will do the job immediately

Jakarta Transportation Dept.'s UP APK Head, M. Faris Budiman said, his side will continue the next step which is auction if there is no revision, thus his side can find an appropriate third party or auction winner.

"We targeted to announce the winner in early May then it will do the job immediately. It means, boat project can be started immediately," he stated, Monday (4/16).

Hearse Boats Procurement in Seribu Islands Accelerated

He added, six passenger boats with capacity 50 people each boats are needed to add water transportation in Seribu Islands. It is hoped to serve residents more optimally. 

"This project is targeted to complete in October. These boats will add the existing lanes. If boat is usually departed only once from land, then the new boats will operate from islands. Thus boats will be crossing each other," he informed.
