The emissions test will be held on April 24-26, 2018. It is targeted that it can serve around 2,000 motor vehicles.

It also involves Transportation Sub-dept. and police. This is free of charge

West Jakarta Environment Sub-dept. Head, Edy Mulyanto said it will be held in CNI area, precisely at Jalan Puri Elok Kembangan, Jalan Aranda, in front of Taman Anggrek Mall, Tanjung Duren Utara and in front of Merah Store, Jalan Kali Besar Barat, Taman Sari.  

He stated it is held as a follow-up to Gubernatorial Regulation No. 31/2007 on motor vehicle exhaust emission threshold in Jakarta and No. 92/2007 on emission test and vehicle maintenance in the capital.

"It also involves Transportation Sub-dept. and police. This is free of charge," he stressed, Monday (4/16).

He explained vehicles that have passed would be fitted with stickers. However, if they fail, they will get a letter to undergo repair on a number of authorized workshops.

"We'll do socialization first," he uttered.
