City-Central Government Collaborate to Maintain Food Price Stability

Jakarta Provincial Government continues strengthening its synergy with central government to maintain stability of food commodity prices, especially ahead of Ramadan and Eid.

We want to ensure food prices remain stable

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno conveyed, Jakarta Government together with Agriculture Ministry and Trade Ministry are coordinating to maintain enough food supply thus price hike can be prevented.

"We want to ensure food prices remain stable," he stated, Tuesday (4/17).

City-Agriculture Ministry Discuss Staple Food Prices Control

He explained, Agriculture Ministry also initiates Toko Tani Indonesia program to ensure food supply and distribution are running well.

"Agriculture Ministry targets to build 100 Toko Tani Indonesia stalls in Jakarta. Currently, 30 Toko Tani Indonesia stalls have been realized," he informed.

According to him, chili price on the field is around Rp 30 Thousand per kilogram. Food price can be relatively stable if it has enough supply.

"I want chili-producing centers to contribute in maintaining food price stability," he affirmed.
