Council Welcomes Skybridge Project in Tanah Abang

City DPRD welcomes Jakarta Provincial Government's plan that will develop skybridge in Tanah Abang Market area, Central Jakarta after the forthcoming Eid ul Fitr.

This skybridge is very urgent, so it needs to be be built immediately and can be used by the people

City DPRD's Commission D Member, Bestari Barus assessed the skybridge development from Block G market up to Tanah Abang Station will make the visitors comfortable and no longer difficulty shopping around the location.

Tanah Abang Market Block G's DED is Prepared

"This skybridge is very urgent, so it needs to be built immediately and can be used by the people," he expressed, Thursday (4/26).

Similar statement also came out from another member, Neneng Hasanah. She assessed, access bridge that will be developed after Eid ul Fitr will be able to reduce the density of visitors to Tanah Abang Market.

Moreover, the street vendor (PKL) who originally opened stall on Jalan Jati Baru Raya will be provided a place of business in the market after the development is completed.

"This project is one of the breakthroughs to anticipate density. The budget for development is single-years. So it should be completed by the end of December," he said.
