Jl. TB Simatupang to Be Closed Tomorrow for 10 Days

As reported previously, Jakarta Provincial Government is going to repair the collapsed road Jl. TB Simatupang together with Public Works Ministry. Besides that the damaged culverts will also be replaced. The work will be done in 10 days starting tomorrow, Saturday (1/18). During that time, the road will be closed. For that, Jakarta Transportation Department has prepared traffic diversion schemes.

Head of Public Works Ministry Public Communication Center, Danis H Sumadilaga, said the damaged culverts will be replaced with the new ones in the size of 2x2 meters. Moreover, the road will also be heightened one meter to prevent water flow runoff. This work will be carried out by Public Works Ministry through Area IV National Roads Implementer Agency (BBPJN).

“We will also install foundation and box culverts,” he stated, Friday (1/17).

After the work finished, it will be continued to hardening the road which estimated would take time for about 17 days. The whole process itself costs budget for as much as Rp 2.5 billion only for one side of the road.

As for road users, the traffic on Jl. TB Simatupang will be diverted to Jl. Jati Padang to then take turn to Jl. Ragunan Raya towards Pasar Minggu. Besides that, the traffic is also suggested to be diverted to Outer Ring Road Toll (JORR).

“We’re coordinating with Jakarta Transportation Department for traffic diversion,” finished Sumadilaga.
