Betawi Cultural Art Enlivens Jakarta's 491 Anniversary Declaration in E. Jakarta

East Jakarta Government declares the celebration of Jakarta's 491st Anniversary at mayor office's yard, Wednesday (5/9). This declaration was marked by siren sound with releasing tens of pigeon.

Today is the declaration of Jakarta's 491st Anniversary

East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardana said, Jakarta's 491st Anniversary declaration was held simultaneously in five Jakarta areas and one Regency. In East Jakarta, this declaration was attended by three pillars.

"Today is the declaration of Jakarta's 491st Anniversary. Later on, it will be enlivened by various activities which have been proposed before," he explained.

Various Events to Enliven City Anniversary Declaration

There are various Betawi cultural arts performances in this event. Such as gambang kromong, lenong Betawi, and other dances. Moreover, committee also gives door prize for visitors and social aid in form of house renovation for those who are in need.
