Central Jakarta Administration inspects Ramadan iftar culinary which is sold at Bendungan Hilir (Benhil) Market, Tanah Abang. This is done to ensure foods are safe to be consumed.
Joint personnel from Agriculture Maritime and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Sub-dept., Satpol PP, and Food and Drug Control Agency (BPOM) to take food samples from merchant commodities.
KPKP Dept. Conducts Food Monitoring in N. Jakarta"We involve many sides to conduct laboratory test on the location thus we could execute it immediately after the result is out," said Mangara Pardede, Central Jakarta Mayor, Tuesday (5/22).
Jakarta BPOM Head, Sukriadi Dharma said, from 30 food samples his side got samples of pacar cina food contained of Rhodamine B (industrial dye) and tahu isi (filled tofu) food contained of formalin.
"We will search the origins of this material and stop its distribution," he affirmed.
Result of food testing which is done by Satpol PP and Jakarta BPOM is witnessed by merchants and Central Jakarta Mayor. Those foods are immediately destroyed at mobile laboratory thus it will be not sold again.
Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-dept. Head, Bayu Sari Hastuti said, integrated food inspection, particularly for iftar culinary, will be also done in culinary spots in Central Jakarta.
"We will do it routinely thus residents can be safe in consuming iftar foods to break the fast," she stated.
