Eight Markets in South Jakarta hold Ramadan Bazaar. Various staple foods are sold below market price.

Ramadan Bazaar is held in eight markets of South Jakarta

South Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Sub-dept. Head, Wachyuni said, Ramadan Bazaar is one of PD. Pasar Jaya programs to help residents in getting staple foods with affordable price.

"Ramadan Bazaar is held in eight markets of South Jakarta. We are really support it because it offers staple foods in affordable price," he explained, Wednesday (5/23).

Pesanggrahan Opens Ramadan OK OCE Bazaar

He mentioned, those eight markets are Rumput Market, Tebet Barat Market, Santa Market, Cipete Market, Pondok Labu Market, Mampang Prapatan Market, Pesanggrahan Market, and Lenteng Agung Market.

According to her, this bazaar is held more than three weeks from May 17 to June 14. Her side hopes residents can use this chance to fulfill their needs in Ramadan month.

"All products are sold below the market price. This is a way to keep prices from rising," she added.

Ramadan Bazaar offers commodities such as rice with Rp 8,500 per kilogram; BRBS onion Rp 27 thousand per kilogram, MJLK onion Rp 25 thousand per kilogram; curly red peppers Rp 30 thousand per kilogram; garlic Rp 15 thousand per kilogram, and sugar Rp 12 thousand per kilogram. 

Then, cooking oil Rp 11 thousand per liter, egg Rp 24 thousand per kilogram; frozen beef Rp 75 thousand per kilogram; buffalo meat Rp 70 thousand per kilogram; frozen chicken meat Rp 29 thousand per kilogram; and fresh chicken meat Rp 33 thousand per kilogram.
