PDAM Asked to Fulfill Muara Karang Resident's Clean Water Needs

City Council Deputy Head, Mohammad Taufik asked PDAM Jaya to provide clean water service to Muara Karang Flat residents, North Jakarta.

Considering, current groundwater condition in flat is unsafe to be consumed and used for water sanitation and hygiene practices (MCK). "We will ask PDAM Jaya to assist Muara Karang Flat residents to fulfill their clean water needs," he stated, Wednesday (5/23). 

City will Set Up 10 Communal Septic Tanks

He conveyed, poor water quality in flat is known from recess result conducted on last Tuesday (5/22). His side assessed, this problem needs to be handled as soon as possible because clean water is the basic needs.

"It must be handled fast. Water is the most basic needs and it must be solved quickly," he affirmed.

From last recess, he mentioned many residents asked for river and water channel repair because it is narrow and water can't flow smoothly. "I will ask Mayor and related department to follow up their requests," he stated.

Besides those problems, his side also received complaints from flat residents because they aren't able to pay the rent. "Later on, I will also discuss this problem with related department," he added.
