Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan officially opens Jakarta Fair 2018 at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

Jakarta Fair 2018 will be held from May 23 to July 1 and themed "Jakarta Fair Turut Berjuang Menyukseskan MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference, and Exhibition) Indonesia Dalam Proses Pembangunan Ekonomi Nasional".

He said, its theme is in line with the 491st Jakarta anniversary's theme which is a fair, advanced city with its happy citizen.

"From tonight, we will gather to attend at the 51st Jakarta Fair opening to celebrate the 491st Jakarta anniversary," he stated, Wednesday (5/23) night.

He explained, there are many sides from both inside and outside Jakarta who are involved in Jakarta Fair event.

"There are many artworks on display. Jakarta Fair becomes the biggest exhibition in Southeast Asia and we are proud of it," he expressed.

Particularly, he delivered his appreciation towards event management since they have provided spaces for small medium enterprises in Jakarta Fair.

"We want to develop the equality. Large-scale traders will be bigger, and small-scale traders will be also bigger. Thus Jakarta belongs to all," he explained.

According to him, Jakarta Fair is a chance for regional government and businessmen to boost the economy together.

"Last year, 6.1 million people visited Jakarta Fair. In this year, we hope its transaction could reach more than Rp 7 trillion," he mentioned.

By carrying out Jakarta Fair event, Jakarta Government wants to give statement that Jakarta condition is safe and stable.

"Thank you for all TNI and police personnel who work optimally in creating conducive atmosphere in Jakarta," he expressed.

He pressed siren's button accompanied by Jakarta TP PKK Head, Ferry Farhati and other officials to give a sign that Jakarta Fair 2018 event has been opened.
