Sandi Launches Digital-Based Smart Pasar Program at Pondok Pinang Market

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno launches Smart Pasar program in Pondok Pinang Market, South Jakarta.

"We are grateful that today in Ramadan Month, we are able to launch Smart Pasar with technology-based economic approach," he stated on the location, Saturday (6/2).

Council Wants Traditional Markets to Be Jakarta Icons

He assessed, merchants in this program need assistance and should be trained. Since it is in accordance with OK OCE program that supports UMKM development in Jakarta.

"We hope it not only opens job opportunities, but also a more lively market," he expressed.

In the future, he hopes Smart Pasar can be implemented in 153 traditional markets in Jakarta under PD. Pasar Jaya.

At the same location, OK OCE Movement (PGO) Team Leader, Faransyah Jaya hopes Smart Pasar program can attract more people to shop in traditional market.

"We will support from brand side thus visitors will be attracted to it through OK OCE. So, many of them will be developed through this Smart Pasar program," he mentioned.

Meanwhile, PD. Pasar Jaya Director, Arief Nasrudin hopes this program can increase number of traditional market visitors.

"We hope traditional market can be more lively and favored by Jakartans," he mentioned.
