4,701 LED SS Lamps will Be Installed in Pasar Rebo

4,071 Light-Emitting Diode Smart System (LED SS) lamps start to be installed to replace existing lamps located in Pasar Rebo Sub-district, East Jakarta. LED SS is considered to save more energy and help to monitor street lighting (PJU) services.

"We start to install 4,701 LED SS lamps in Pasar Rebo. All of them are installed to replace existing HPS-type lamps. Its amount is not included from resident's request," mentioned Nurhidayat, Head of East Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept., Monday (6/25).

Within these two weeks in June, he stated 823 LED SS lamps have been installed. Especially installed in Baru and Cijantung Urban Villages. Installation will be started this week in other urban villages such as Kalisari, Pekayon, and Gedong.

Central Jakarta to Install 1,200 Lamps This Year

"We have asked urban village and sub-district sides to accelerate the lamp installation by pruning trees located near PJU poles thus not blocking the lighting," he explained.

His side also reminds residents to be patient for their turns. Because all existing HPS-type lamps will be replaced with LED SS lamps which is brighter.

LED SS lamps installation is targeted to finish in July. After in Pasar Rebo is completed, installation will be continued in Kramat Jati Sub-district and others.
