Anies Appreciates Police Performance During Eid Holiday

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan gave high appreciation to the ranks of police performance, especially for Polda Metro Jaya during homecoming and returning flow this year.

Anies said that they remain alert and on duty, eventhough most Jakarta people enjoy Eid holiday

Eid Holiday, 154 Thousand People Thronged Ancol

"I am representing Jakarta Provincial Government, to express my highest appreciation to all ranks of Polda Metro Jaya," he stated, after attending Video Conference (Vicon) along with Police Chief, Army Commander, and several ministers in the framework of analysis and evaluation (Anev) for implementation of Eid ul-Fitr 1439 Hijri, at Promoter Building, Polda Metro Jaya Headquarter, Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, South Jakarta, Monday (6/25).

Based on the data, the level of accidents and criminality during Eid holiday in Jakarta areas is lower than last year.

"This is also inseparable from the hard work of the ranks in Polda Metro Jaya," he explained.

Asides that, they also discussed about preparation of the security for Pilkada that will take place on Wednesday (6/27).

"We're ready to support the next big work, as there will be Pilkada on Wednesday simultaneously. Including, in some areas adjacent to Jakarta, we will also keep securing its implementation to remain conducive," he told.

It also discussed about security of the upcoming Asian Games XVIII.

"This is our duty to make sure everything is running safe and orderly," he uttered.
