72 Trees in South Jakarta Pruned

Tens of trees that are prone to fall in 10 sub-districts, South Jakarta are pruned.
South Jakarta Forestry Sub-dept. Head, Yuswardi disclosed, tree pruning is routinely conducted every day to follow up public complaints.

Those trees pruned are angsana trees, mahogany tree, trembesi tree, tanjung tree, glodokan tree, bungur tree, flamboyan tree, ketapang tree, sawo duren tree, and kiara payung tree.
"Our purpose here is for plant maintenance and aesthetics," he told.
South Jakarta Forestry Sub-dept.'s Forestry Section Head, Bambang Muhirdan added, today, tree pruning is also conducted along Jalan Metro Pondok Indah and around Nyi Ageng Serang building.
"Residents can propose for pruning, especially against the trees that are considered dangerous," he said.
