Council Wants City to Optimize Tourism Promotion in Asian Games

City Council encourages Jakarta Provincial Government to take advantage of Asian Games event by optimizing tourism promotion in Jakarta.

"We consider Jakarta Government is not optimal in promoting Jakarta tourism. So its promotion needs to be intensified in Asian Games," assessed Abdurrahman Suhaimi, City Council's Commission B Head, Thursday (7/5).

This Sunday, Jakarnaval Festival will Be Held

Based on data, number of visitor in several tourism spots this year is only slightly increased than the same period on previous year.

According to him, Jakarta Government currently needs innovations to attract more tourist to visit Jakarta. Thus, he considered Asian Games is the big chance to promote tourism.

"We want Asian Games event to synergy with tourism promotion," he stated.
