Currently South Jakarta Administration prepares route for Asian Games XVIII Torch Relay. According to plan, torch will be brought around South Jakarta on August 15.
We will receive the torch at 12 PM
South Jakarta Youth and Sport Sub-dept. (Sudinpora) Head, Eko Pudjiaharyanto mentioned, his side has prepared route for this Torch Relay. First, his side will receive the torch from East Jakarta Administration at 12 PM.
"We will receive the torch at 12 PM. Because it will be carried around East Jakarta first," he stated (7/16).
Asian Games Torch Relay Route in Taman Sari ArrangedThis event will be started from Rawa Bambu, Pasar Minggu. Then it continues to Jalan Rawa Bambu, Jalan Pertanian III, Jalan Raya Ragunan, Jalan Warung Jati Barat, Jalan RM Harsono, and berakhir di Taman Margasatwa Ragunan (TMR).
Next, it will go through Jalan Taman Margasatwa Utara, Jalan RS Hewan, Jalan Paso, Jalan Margasatwa, Jalan Raya Cilandak, and ended on Jalan Ampera Raya.
According to him, torch which is transported directly from India will be carried by 20 runners in turn for every 500 meters.
"We will bring the torch to Jakarta Governor at City Hall in afternoon," he noted.
