Welcoming Asian Games, 468 LED Lamps Installed in West Jakarta

LED lamp installation along roads that will be crossed by the Asian Games athletes were finally done on Tuesday (7/17) night. 

There are totally 468 points of streetlight lamps replaced from HPS into LED

"There are totally 468 points of streetlight lamps replaced from HPS into LED," said West Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept. Head, Ery Ghazali, Wednesday (7/18).

Streetlight must Be in Good Condition During Asian Games

He stated lamp replacement is conducted from flyovers, underpasses, crossing bridges (JPO), and bus stops of Jalan Jembatan Dua until S. Parman, as well as some crossing bridges of Jalan Hayam Wuruk and Gajah Mada.

"We also replaced HMP lamps powered 450 watts in front of Citra Land, Grogol and Reform Monument at Trisakti University," he expressed.

It is done to create a sense of security and comfort for the guests.

"It also creates the beauty of the city at night," he told.

To ensure the lamp condition, his side already has four streetlight teams. They are alerted under Grogol Flyover and Kota Tua area. Each team consists of four members and will be on duty 24 hours during the Asian Games.

"If there is a blackout, they will quickly respond," he stressed.
