Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno has inaugurated the OK OCE Farm Outlet in the Plant Seed and Plant Protection Center, Jalan TB Simatupang, Ragunan, South Jakarta.

People can use it for food meets

The outlet itself provides various products of agriculture, livestock and fishery with affordable price.

On the occasion, he stated it is one step to control the price of food in the market. It can also open jobs for local residents.

"People can use it for food meets," he expressed, Friday (7/20).

Nevertheless, he requested that the purchase of products in OK OCE Farmer Outlet can be controlled. Thus it is not used by traders to reap higher profits.

Currently, he mentions, one of the commodities whose prices are quite high, namely chicken eggs by Rp 19,500. Whereas its price in the market has now touched Rp 26,000.

"Just obey the agreed rules by not hoarding our food commodities, as the price here is cheap and not for sale, like eggs should be right on target," he told. 

He urges the related regional working unit (SKPD) must utilize unused assets for the OK OCE outlets. Not only in South Jakarta, similar thing would also be done in other cities.

At the same place, Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept., Darjamuni explained, the farm outlet inauguration is the beginning. In future Jakarta will have similar outlets.

"We use unused buildings by adding promotions and so on. This is a strategic location and then developed," he stated.

As for the information, in future, there will be a OK OCE Milk Outlet in Pondok Ranggon, Fish Market Cafe in Muara Angke, and Fisherman's Kiosk at Resto Floating Restaurant. Aside that, there will be development of Belong Market's Flower Center and Flower Center in Semanan.
