The ranks of West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept. are about to examine qurban animals in the second week of August. 

We do this by cooperating with related units, as well as local urban village heads and sub-district heads or monitoring the location of sale of sacrificial animals

According to Marsawitri Gumay, Head of West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept., it will be ongoing two days prior to Idul Adha in a bid to make sure whether the animal is healthy or not.

He explained, examination itself includes anthrax and worms disease. If the disease is detected, the animal will be withdrawn or not allowed to be sold.

"We do this by cooperating with related units, as well as local urban village heads and sub-district heads or monitoring the location of sale of sacrificial animals," he expressed.

Its sale location that is from eight sub-districts in West Jakarta, the most are in Cengkareng and Kalideres.

"Both sub-districts still have a lot of empty lands, especially in areas bordering Tangerang," he concluded.
