The riverbed is blackened because the mud has settled and mixed with various pollutants for years. This blackened riverbed then makes the water turns to black and emits unpleasant smell.

Anies-Sandi Monitors Wisma Atlet AreaHe explained, one vacuum truck has four cubic meters capacity. Every day, those three vacuum trucks will suck the waste twice then the waste will be disposed to Duri Kosambi waste disposal site, West Jakarta.
"This work has started since July 11. One truck is operated by two personnel," he informed.
