Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno ensures all infrastructures and Jakarta Government human resources are ready to support Asian Games 2018 event.

"We have informed DPR RI's Commission X that all venue preparations and infrastructures have reached 100 percent. As our target, LRT will operate in August," he said as the speaker in a discussion at Candi Bentar, Putri Duyung Cottage, Ancol, Pademangan, North Jakarta, Thursday (7/26).

He explained, jet ski and sailing sport venues construction in Ancol which is done together with PU Pera Ministry are also completed.

Besides infrastructure and human resources preparation, he assessed Asian Games event as an economic potential and the right momentum to improve the performance and behavior change. He estimates Asian Games event could add 4,500-10,000 new jobs.

During this event, he plans to optimize Kota Tua as OK OCE business center. Hopefully this event could increase Ancol's visitors thus it could surpass 18.5 million visitors for this year's target.

He also admitted that current infrastructures are still in finishing process, such as LRT, Jl. Sudirman-Harmoni arrangement, and Jl. Thamrin JPO demolition because it is blocking Bundaran HI view as one of Jakarta icons.

"Later on, we will install pelican crossing on the location. Our target is to finis h all constructions in July and early August," he affirmed.
