Gov. Inspects Pelican Crossing on Jl. MH Thamrin

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan inspects pelican crossing near Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI), Jl. MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta. This pelican crossing is the new crossing access for pedestrian to replace the former pedestrian bridge (JPO).

Our personnel will standby 24 hours

Based on beritajakarta.id monitoring, Anies takes a chance to talk with the workers who install traffic lamps and other supporting facilities. He also tried to cross from Grand Hyat Hotel to Pullman Hotel using this pelican crossing.

Currently several Transportation Dept. (Dishub) personnel are standby to help people who want to cross the road.

He mentioned, Dishub personnel will be placed to give direction to road users. Because it is considered that road users need to be accustomed and socialized about pelican crossing.

"It is new to use pelican crossing in here. Road users need to be accustomed with it," he mentioned, Monday (7/30).

He assessed, personnel who are standby on the location will also provide a sense of security and comfort for pedestrian or wheelchair users who want to cross the road.

"We want them to be able to cross the road safely. Our personnel will standby 24 hours," he affirmed.
