City Council (DPRD) encourages Jakarta Provincial Government to build boarding school in five Jakarta regions using BUMD lands.

"There are many BUMD lands in Jakarta. Through cooperation, those lands can be used to build boarding schools for disadvantaged people," said Merry Hotma, Deputy Head of City Council's Bapemperda, Monday (8/6).

She also asked boarding school construction to be budgeted in City Budget Draft (RAPBD) 2018 Amendment. Thus Jakarta Government has time to search lands to build this boarding school until next year.

"Formerly, we have conveyed it in City Budget 2017's LKPJ. We hope it can be included in City Budget Amendment," she stated.
