Marunda Library Visitors Continue to Increase Every Day

After its inauguration last December, the Marunda Urban Village Library, Cilincing, North Jakarta has successfully served 50-100 visitors every day.
These books are from Kota Library and donations from various parties. Among them are general knowledge books, techniques and stories
Marunda Urban Village Head, Hilda Damayanti stated that the library visitors consist of various ages, ranging from early childhood to adulthood. Currently the library book collection has 56,000 copies with more than 4,000 titles.

She explained urban village library is open every Monday to Saturday from 8 AM-4 PM. The library is also equipped with wifi, air conditioned rooms and reading park in the courtyard area.
Every day, library operational is managed by two volunteers who are recruited from the citizens who receives CSR support from one of the private education institutions.
In addition to reading on the spot, she continued, the manager also held a bike library service every day. It targets a number of schools in the Marunda Urban Village area.
They also have set up a permanent creative arts stage on the yard of the urban village office. It is a place to create and channel children's actualization talent from reading results.
"Wifi service operates until 10 PM. That's why the number of visitors continue to increase up to 1,000 people every day," she uttered.
